Of particular concern to us is the practice by MoD of using so-called ‘rape-flagging’ statistics, which creates a misleading impression of the conviction rate for rape cases.

Our Director gave evidence before the Committee, alongside Ahmed Al-Nahhas of Bolt Burdon Kemp LLP and Zoe Jackson of Aurora New Dawn, which you can see here:

We also wrote to the Committee in light of some subsequent evidence that had been given to the Committee, concerning the practice of ‘rape-flagging’ and the handling of domestic abuse matters by commanding officers:
